Bettina is the Associate Director for Colorado Adult Protective Services and the founder and CEO of Legacy Care Consulting. With 25 years of international experience working with vulnerable individuals, Bettina started her career in Australia before moving to the UK where she practiced social work, eventually leading to her move to the U.S. She has spent the last 17 years working with at-risk and vulnerable adults, specializing in elder abuse, dementia, and guardianship.
Bettina has been a strong advocate and active contributor in developing positive practice changes pertaining to at-risk adults. Bettina has obtained a Bachelor of Social Work, Master’s in Dementia, is a Nationally Certified Guardian and is a founding member of the leadership team driving the Colorado Older Adults Financial Justice Coalition.
In 2026, Bettina launched Legacy Care Consulting, a company designed to address critical gaps in the aging sector, offering expert consultation, advocacy, training and enhanced awareness through public engagement.
