Stay at Home with a Good Book – AlzAuthors Anthology Two is Now Available in Paperback

Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiving Stories

Life these days is turned upside down for most of us, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is so much uncertainty, fear, and loss. Those of us caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and other dementias find ourselves stressed, not only from our usual pressures but the new ones the virus has delivered: stay-at-home orders confining us to the four walls of our homes, separation from family and friends, temporary holds on treasured routines such as church services, lunch at a favorite diner, or a movie. Simple things that make life grand.

For too many of us, our loved ones are in care homes, locked in isolation, and we are unable to visit and check on them, making sure they’re okay. This is particularly stressful and unnerving.

AlzAuthors is here to support caregivers with a wealth of resources, not only to educate, but to entertain and enlighten. We are pleased to announce that our second anthology, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregiving Stories: 47 Authors Share Their Inspiring Personal Experiences, Volume II,  is now available in paperback. Now is a great time to take advantage of staying in by sitting down with a good book.

This anthology  represents the writings from our blog’s second year, June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2018. Each entry contains the honest, heartfelt story of the author’s journey with dementia, the highs and lows, the heartbreak, and the unexpected moments of joy found along the way. It includes stories for those caring for parents, a spouse, or living with the disease themselves, as well as books for children and teens.

Our stories are written to offer knowledge, encouragement, hope, and support to the caregivers and carers of those living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

May one of our stories speak to you.
