AlzAuthors offers literary resource for dementia family caregivers

AlzAuthors is more than just a resource on Alzheimer’s. The online library of about 350 authors can be a lifeline for family caregivers navigating the dementia journey with loved ones, co-founder Marianne Sciucco said.

“We don’t just take books and post them on our website,” Sciucco told McKnight’s Home Care Daily Pulse. “There’s a lot of investigation that goes into determining if we want to take that author on. They have to meet certain criteria and then when we take a book, we promote it heavily. The whole point is to provide a one-stop shop for caregivers who are usually busy and very overwhelmed, to help them find something that’s going to give them what they need to have a better journey with their person.”
